Comoros, Madagascar, Mauritius and Seychelles, located in the Southwest Indian Ocean region, are highly vulnerable to climate change. Tropical cyclones are the most frequent catastrophic hazards in the region and have been responsible for significant human and economic losses.
This project will support these countries overcome barriers in managing the risks and impacts of climate-induced disaster. By implementing a multi-hazard early warning system, the project will equip decision makers and communities with adequate tools to prepare for and adapt to climate variability and change.
