<p>The objective of the regional project is to reduce vulnerability and strengthen the adaptive capacities of nine coastal municipalities in Cuba and Panama to climate change impacts. Proposed solutions will promote EbA, SLM practices and nature-based livelihoods and will support the adoption of innovative damage and loss methodologies for enhanced knowledge and understanding of comprehensive risk management approaches at the local and national level on climate change impacts.</p>

Community-based and civil society organizations are technically and financially supported to design and deliver locally led initiatives that address complex socio-ecological challenges to foster resilience, enhance livelihoods and deliver global environmental benefits.

Local CSOs and CBOs in landscapes-seascapes around the world access grant financing and technical assistance, including capacity development and knowledge sharing to maintain and enhance their socio-ecological resilience, well-being and socio-economic conditions for global environmental benefits.

To assist Cuba in the preparation and submission of its First Biennial Transparency Report (1BTR), and a combined Fourth National Communication and a Second Biennial Transparency Report (2BTR&4NC) for the fulfillment of the obligations under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the Paris Agreement (PA).
