The proposed project has the overall objective to ‘increase the climate change resilience of people and water resource systems in the Tuban Delta. The propose project has four outcomes to achieve this:
1. Enhanced capacities of national and sub-national government institutions, communities and vulnerable groups to manage natural resources (focused on water and land) and respond to climate change risks in the Tuban Delta efficiently, sustainably and in a resilient way.
2. Increased adaptive capacity of the water sector through rehabilitation and protection of irrigation systems in the Tuban Delta.
3. Increased innovative, efficient, sustainable and climate change resilient practices to improve the water supply systems for urban and agriculture purposes.
4. Improved ownership and capacities at local level to respond to climate change, including operating, maintain and replicating resilient water and irrigation systems.

Increase resilience of vulnerable households against the impacts of climate change through enhanced food security, improved land/water resource management, improved livestock husbandry, increased access to modern energy services, and strengthened local capacity in selected districts across five governorates in Yemen

Local CSOs and CBOs in landscapes-seascapes around the world access grant financing and technical assistance, including capacity development and knowledge sharing to maintain and enhance their socio-ecological resilience, well-being and socio-economic conditions for global environmental benefits.

To promote and support innovative and scalable initiatives, and foster multistakeholder partnerships at the local level to tackle global environmental issues in priority landscapes and seascapes
